The Future: Imagine you are reading about your company in a future issue of Forbes or an important industry magazine.
What does the future article say about your business operations, your products and services, your financials? What does this future article praise about your Executive Leadership? How do your employees describe your senior leadership team and your company’s culture? Envision the quote from your customers about their experience with your employees and your salespeople.
Now consider today. What are the major challenges to achieving this future vision of your company? Have you begun to draw the road map for how to get there? Are there things about the people side of your business that need to change?
Now think to the beginning of your time with your company or when you first started your business. What has changed – your infrastructure, your products or services, your revenues, your people? Would your company as it existed at that time be able to support the success of today? What are some of the challenges you face now that did not exist back then?
It is your job as an Executive Leader to create and achieve the Future Vision & Goals for your company.
Your answers to these questions are the first markers on the roadmap towards your Future Vision & Goals.
